Ok. I will basically start off with saying that this is the very first time that I have ever been to courtesy nissan in person. They are VERY far from where I live b/c of traffic. I must say that the customer service and treatment I got there was WAY above any other nissan dealership that I have been to. It is also very tiny in size compared to any other nissan dealership I have been to. I will definatley be going there a lot more often for parts. Anyways, I got there as promised and brougt my old beat up stock tranny mount with me to see if it was the same as the Nismo 240sx tranny mount that is for sale. I compared every stud and hole on both my 300zx mount and the 240sx mount, and they were all totally identical. The only thing that concerned me was that the 300zx mount was about an inch lower than the 240sx mount. This would obviously put the transmission at a bad angle in our cars. But then, I realised that mine was crappy and maybe it has actually sank that much. Well sure enough, the salesman went in the back and brought out a new 300zx mount and the height was the same as the 240SX mount. My oem tranny mount had actually sank almost an inch in the 15 years of use! wow! Anyways, I was very excited about all of this, b/c this meant that I would be able to get a stiffer that stock tranny mount for about the same price, but still be able to keep the stock exhaust hangers as well as the rubber dampner. So for any of yall out there wanting to upgrade, IMO, this is an excellent upgrade for the $70 it costs when your stock unit goes to poop. I is atleast 2 times stiffer than OEM and is a very nice unit and bolted on perfectly. Here are some pictures...sorry i didn't have my camera at courtesy to do exact side by side pics, but i can guarantee to you that they are exactly the same as far as all studs, holes and height. If your tranny mount looks like this, then this is NOT ok haha. 15 year old tranny mount..mmmMMMmmm...
240sx Nismo one bolts up great. Notice all the air space that SHOULD be there and not like my original one.
Still bolts up to the exhaust hanger unit. *cough* 97 spec tranny * cough*
Here is the part number for yall
Anyways, hopefully this helps someone out. I love the product. Now that it is bolted to the transmission, I can not even make the tranny budge..just the way I want it :) One step closer to making my car perfect! I'm also pretty sure that it doesn't transmit more noise than the stock unit..atleast not anything noticible, since it is not solid, but still is actually suspended in the air to absord vibrations like the stock unit is. Anyways, hope this helps!
